Ludwig Lin, MD, speaks with Michael Blaivas, MD, FACEP, FAIUM, about the article, “Guidelines for the appropriate use of bedside general and cardiac ultrasonography by the intensivist in the evaluation of critically ill patients—Part I: general ultrasonography,” published in Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Blaivas serves as a Professor of Medicine at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, and works clinically in the St. Francis Hospital Emergency Department in Columbus, Georgia.
