This new program will facilitate implementation of SCCM’s trusted and expert-developed quality improvement (QI) programs while fostering sustained results through data collection and ongoing support. Using intuitive dashboards, ICUs can track progress, measure impact, and gain valuable insights to drive continuous improvement. The ICU Centers of Excellence Program emphasizes multiprofessional team collaboration, fosters partnerships with other hospitals, and offers engagement with SCCM experts to facilitate shared learning and drive meaningful, system-wide improvements.

Earn a gold, silver, or bronze ICU Centers of Excellence designation to demonstrate your ICU’s commitment to transforming critical care.

ICU Liberation is the first initiative in the ICU Centers of Excellence program.

How to Get Started

Get started in the ICU Centers of Excellence Program with the ICU Liberation Campaign, which aims to liberate patients from the harmful effects of an ICU stay and provides evidence-based strategies in a comprehensive bundle for the entire multiprofessional critical care team.

1. Complete the interest form.
The ICU Centers of Excellence Program is accepting applications from January 2 through March 31, 2025. Applications are currently being accepted only from hospitals in the United States and U.S. territories. Non-U.S. hospitals can access ICU Liberation training through SCCM hosted training. SCCM plans to expand access to the ICU Centers of Excellence Program to non-U.S. hospitals in the future.

2. Connect with an SCCM Sales Team Member
Once you have submitted the interest form, a member of the SCCM training team will reach out to your site to provide a comprehensive overview of the program’s requirements and benefits.

3. Submit Your Full Application
If your site is ready to move forward, submit a full application to join the ICU Centers of Excellence Program.

SCCM will accept only a limited number of hospitals into the program per year.
