Staying ahead of the latest advances in critical care technology and research can be a challenge as new and innovative findings continually improve the practice of critical care. As the Society of Critical Care Medicine's (SCCM) premier peer-reviewed publications, Critical Care Medicine (CCM) and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine (PCCM) direct readers to articles aimed at improving the care of all critically ill and injured patients.
Critical Care Explorations (CCE) is the official open access, peer-review journal of the SCCM. Designed to complement SCCM’s flagship journals, CCM and PCCM, CCE provides additional articles and information that encompass the broad scope of critical care. This includes traditional article types and case reports as well as time-sensitive information about quality and safety, methodological and technical advances, healthcare economics, advances in predictive modelling, and the impact of new studies on evidence-based practice.
