Dr. Kollef is Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. In this article, Dr. Kollef and coauthors assess the impact of sepsis classification and multidrug-resistance status on outcome in patients receiving appropriate initial antibiotic therapy.
