Michael S. Weinstein, MD, FACS, FCCM, speaks with Stephen M. Pastores, MD, FCCM, about the article, “Critical Care Organizations in Academic Medical Centers in North America: A Descriptive Report,” published in Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Pastores serves as Program Director of Critical Care Medicine in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He also works as a Professor of Medicine and Anesthesiology at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York, New York. In this article, Dr. Pastores and coauthors examine the structure, governance, and experience to date of established critical care organizations in North American academic medical centers.
