Society to Improve Diagnosis  
SCCM is one of 40 organizations to serve as a member on the Society to Improve Diagnosis's Coalition which aims to find solutions that enhance diagnostic safety and quality, reduce harm, and ultimately, ensure better health outcomes for patients.

American Hospital Association Health Research and Educational Trust
SCCM provides content expertise for the AHRQ/HRET ICU safety programs to assist with reduction in central line-associated blood stream infections (CLABSI) and catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI). SCCM works closely with several organizations serving as partners on the national implementation team.

Healthcare Infection Control Practices Advisory Committee
HICPAC is a federal advisory committee assembled to advise and guide the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services regarding surveillance, prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections, antimicrobial resistance, and related events in the U.S. The Society has a member liaison who participates in the work of the committee, including guidelines development and revision along with matters of importance related to all patients, including the critically ill and injured.

National Quality Forum
NQF aims to improve the quality of U.S. healthcare by building consensus on national priorities and goals for performance improvement and working in partnership to achieve them, endorsing national consensus standards for measuring and publicly reporting on performance, and promoting the attainment of national goals through education and outreach programs. SCCM is a member of the NQF with a liaison who provides feedback to SCCM leadership and the Quality and Safety Committee with related information and action steps.
