Sample Letter to Hosted Course Learners

Dear (learner):

This is to confirm your registration for the Society of Critical Care Medicine’s (SCCM) (training name) hosted training, which is being hosted by (hosting site) at (location) on (dates). I will be your contact if you have questions before the training. Please read the information below in preparation for the course.

• You should have received an email with instructions to access the textbook and online modules. Please let me know if you did not.
• There is an online pretest that should be completed within two weeks before the training. You should have received an email with instructions to access the pretest. Please let me know if you did not.
• We strongly encourage you to read the textbook before taking the training. Your knowledge of the textbook contents and information learned during the training will be evaluated on the posttest.
• The posttest will be completed online. You will receive instructions about this separately. We recommend you take the posttest within two weeks after completing the training skill stations.

The training will start promptly at (time) on (date). The registration area will open at (time), and a continental breakfast will be available (if applicable).
 

• Please find the schedule, a map (if needed), and hotel information (if needed) enclosed.
• There will be no textbooks for learners to use or purchase at the hosted training. Please bring your own if you would like to reference it during the training.
