Dr. Abella is Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and Vice Chair of Research in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Abella discusses current hypothermia guidelines, the use of hypothermia as a treatment following cardiac arrest, and the benefits and challenges of implementing targeted temperature management protocols.
