Hands-on workshop! Enhance your procedural skills and confidence through this fast-paced, interactive workshop focused on ultrasound-guided procedures in critically ill patients. Rotate through small-group skill stations led by expert faculty and gain hands-on experience with ultrasound image acquisition, anatomy identification, needle visualization, and procedural techniques.
Skill stations include central and peripheral vascular access, arterial catheterization, pulmonary artery catheter and peripherally inserted central catheter placement, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and lumbar puncture. Emphasis is placed on probe selection, image optimization, sterile technique, real-time needle guidance, complication avoidance, and bedside troubleshooting to improve procedural accuracy and safety.
