Cifra, MD, about the article, “Transforming the Morbidity and Mortality Conference to Promote Safety and Quality in a PICU,” published in the January 2016 issue of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Cifra is a Pediatric Intensivist and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa. In this article, Dr. Cifra and coauthors examine the effectiveness of a structured systems-oriented morbidity and mortality conference in the pediatric intensive care unit.
