Dr. Buchman is the Founding Director of the Emory Center for Critical Care and practices at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a past president of the Society and the incoming editor of the Society’s flagship journal, Critical Care Medicine. In this interview, Dr. Buchman discusses strategies for incorporating advanced practice providers into the ICU team and “A Model of NPs and PAs in the ICU: Aligning Goals and Strategies within the Healthcare System,” which he presented at the 44th Critical Care Congress in Phoenix, Arizona.
