Janz, MD, lead author on an article published in the December issue of Critical Care Medicine, “Hyperoxia is Associated with Increased Mortality in Patients Treated with Mild Therapeutic Hypothermia after Sudden Cardiac Arrest.” Investigators found that sudden cardiac arrest is associated with high hospital mortality and poor neurologic outcomes.
