The Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) offers the opportunity for public comment to solicit feedback for a recommendation or new guideline. Guidelines are open for public comment for 14 days.

Comments will be reviewed by the guideline leadership or guideline panel and are advisory only. SCCM is not obligated to make any changes based on public comments and will not respond to comments.

How to Review and Comment

  1. Click the guideline title on which you would like to comment to access the comment form.
  2. Electronically sign the non-disclosure and confidentiality agreement on the first page of the form.
  3. Provide your name, affiliation, if applicable, and email address. Anonymous comments will not be accepted.
  4. Review the guideline recommendations.
  5. Select each recommendation on which you would like to comment. Provide your comment and rationale. A rationale may include new literature that supports your position. You may comment on multiple recommendations.
