As the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) winds down its 50th year, its leadership continues to celebrate the dedication and vision of SCCM members in sustaining its journey.
Help us envision the future of critical care by sharing your vision. SCCM will share a new question every week looking for your insights, notions, and predictions for the future! The results will be shared at the end of the campaign to paint a picture of what critical care might look like in the next 50 years!

Each week, SCCM will present a scenario rooted in recent developments accompanied by a thought-provoking question that solicits your views. Each installment will include a link to provide your feedback so it can be curated! SCCM’s founders envisioned critical care without walls.  We ask you to consider future critical care without boundaries.

Increasingly complex care, expansive multiprofessional teams, and constantly emerging technologies save lives in high-acuity intensive care units (ICUs). Those patients and teams establish guidelines and pathways that are useful in ICUs around the world.  At the brink of our next 50 years, we turn to you—our members—to learn how you envision the future of critical care.
