Maintenance of Certification

SCCM reports to a continuing pharmacy education (CPE) tracking service, CPE Monitor, which will authenticate and store data for completed CPE units received by pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. The tracking system will make CPE data for each participant available to the state boards of pharmacy where the participant is licensed or registered. After CPE units are processed by ACPE and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), pharmacists and pharmacy technicians will be able to log in to a comprehensive electronic profile to access information about their completed CPE. 

Physician assistants: The American Academy of Physician Assistants accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. Maintenance of Certification

Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of ACE credits claimed for the activity. The didactic portion of program (4.5 days or 31 hours) is now a self-study program and includes more learning materials. SCCM is now offering 8.75 hours of in-person study groups with critical care leaders and peers. The in-person agenda consists of presentations of key points, case studies, and questions and answers. The same format will be carried over to the other chapter locations marketed by SCCM.

For the other regions, sponsorship inquiries will be referred to the appropriate regional chapter contact. Content will be the same.
