Expand your fundamental echocardiographic skills and knowledge in this new half-day interactive course. The course is a guided classroom experience in which participants perform valvular and hemodynamic measurements, with an emphasis on correct measurement technique.

The course includes:

  • 5.5 hours of online ultrasound presentations with high-quality advanced sonographic images by subject matter experts
  • 4 hours of hands-on skills training using live models and ultrasound equipment
  • Comprehensive Critical Care Ultrasound ebook
  • ICU quick reference guide
  • Up to 9.5 accredited continuing education (ACE) credits and maintenance of certification (MOC) points

The hands-on training consists of transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) pointers guided by expert cardiac sonographers, introduction to TTE probe manipulation using a simulator, and review of challenging clinical cases.

Participants will:

  • Practice transthoracic echocardiographic (TTE) imaging techniques
  • Practice basic TTE probe manipulation and TTE windows and views
  • Perform hemodynamic and valvular measurements using echocardiography software

This course is not intended for beginner point-of-care ultrasound practitioners.
