Industry Insights

The Society offers sponsored educational sessions as part of its Industry Insights program.

Industry Insights sessions are nonaccredited programs, independently developed and directly sponsored by industry or the sponsor’s assigned third-party partner. They are presented in an educational format that provides insight into new or controversial developments affecting most critical care practitioners.

Industry Insights sessions are offered during the annual Critical Care Congress (in-person activity) and throughout the year as webcasts (online activity).

Accredited Continuing Education Grants

SCCM collaborates with industry partners on accredited continuing education (ACE) activities. Grant-funded educational programs may include Congress symposia, webcasts, and other live or online activities. Supporters of ACE education are acknowledged in accordance with ACCME guidelines and in compliance with Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education.

ACE activities may be developed in the following ways:

  • SCCM may collaborate with medical education companies (MECs) to seek ACE funding. SCCM will work with an MEC to draft a grant proposal, identify faculty, and develop the content.
  • SCCM may develop grant proposals to support its education or in response to RFPs issued by commercial supporters or other entities as appropriate.
  • SCCM may collaborate with other medical associations or groups to produce and/or distribute funded educational activities as appropriate.

To learn more about these opportunities contact Desiree Ng or schedule a call.
