What SCCM is Doing

The Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) is developing and deploying tele-critical care efforts in response to COVID-19, including:

  • Working with federal agencies and other stakeholders on a large-scale effort that will test various tele-critical care platforms to identify solutions that can be scaled and integrated nationally.
  • Partnering with the American Medicine Association on Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) initiative related to telemedicine reimbursement.
  • Establishing a network with representation from major stakeholders from academic, industry, government, and other professional organizations to improve inter-organizational communications and collaboration.
