Dr. Thomas is a Professor of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and the Medical Director of their ECMO program. In this article, Dr. Thomas and coauthors compare the prevalence, resource utilization, and mortality for pediatric severe sepsis identified using two established identification strategies.
