ICU Liberation

The Society of Critical Care Medicine's ICU Liberation initiative aims to liberate patients from the harmful effects of pain, agitation, and delirium in the intensive care unit (ICU). The ICU Liberation guidelines and the ABCDEF Bundle are vital resources in assessing, treating and preventing pain, agitation, and delirium. The initiative also is focused on early mobility strategies that can help reduce the risk of long-term consequences from an ICU stay.
