Become an ACCM Fellow

Fellows of the American College of Critical Care Medicine (FCCM) are practitioners, researchers, administrators, and educators who have made outstanding contributions to the collaborative field of critical care.

Apply to Become an ACCM Fellow

Fellowship applications will be accepted from December 1, 2023, through March 15, 2024. The Credentials Committee will review each completed application with the intent that each qualified applicant will be accepted into the College; other applicants receive appropriate feedback, so they may reapply in the future.

  • You must be an active SCCM Professional or Select member for at least two consecutive years immediately prior to application. After you are inducted as an FCCM, you will automatically be upgraded to the Select Membership category in your next dues billing cycle. Upgrade today.
  • ​To be considered an ACCM Fellow and use the designation FCCM, you are required to participate in the convocation ceremony within three years of your acceptance notification. The convocation fee is $385. The fee includes administrative costs, robe rental, and certificate. If you are not inducted within three years, you will be required to submit a new application for future ACCM Fellowship.

Masters of Critical Care Medicine

The Master of Critical Care Medicine (MCCM) designation honors members who have distinguished themselves by achieving national and international professional prominence by virtue of personal character, leadership, eminence in clinical practice, outstanding contributions to research and education in critical care medicine, or years of exemplary service to SCCM, ACCM, and the field of critical care medicine in its broadest sense.

 

Nominate a Master of Critical Care Medicine

Fellows of Critical Care Medicine (FCCMs) in good standing may nominate other FCCMs to be Masters of Critical Care Medicine (MCCMs). The nomination deadline is August 1, 2024. Conferral will be considered by the ACCM Awards Committee at the following year's convocation.​ Learn more about eligibility requirements and criteria.
