Share Your Sepsis Story

The Surviving Sepsis Campaign (SSC) invites you to share your stories so that others can learn and be inspired.

The SSC accepts and highlights stories on surviving sepsis or using SSC guidelines and resources in your practice!

Sepsis Survivors

Have you or a loved one survived sepsis? Your story can inspire hope and raise awareness in others who may face the same journey.

The SSC Sepsis Survivors series highlights personal experiences with sepsis: how it began, what you went through, and how life has changed since. Every story is unique. By sharing yours, you can bring attention to the importance of early recognition and help other survivors know they are not alone.

The SSC is especially interested in:

  • How your sepsis journey began
  • What helped you through recovery (family, care teams, small daily victories)
  • Lasting lessons, mottos, or hopes you want to share with others

Stories may be featured on the SSC website, newsletters, and social media. Submissions should be limited to 300-500 words and may include photos. Please share only what you are comfortable with. If you would like to share a longer story, please reach out to ssc@sccm.org.

Guidelines in Action

Have you successfully implemented the Surviving Sepsis Campaign guidelines in your practice or institution? Share your story to help inspire and educate others.

Of particular interest are:

  • How you or your team put a specific recommendation or policy into practice
  • Impacts you've seen on patient outcomes, workflows, or team collaboration
  • Lessons you’ve learned and practical advice for peers

Stories may be featured on the SSC website, newsletters, and social media. Submissions should be limited to 300-500 words and may include photos.

These stories aim to showcase the global impact of the SSC guidelines and strengthen its mission to prevent lives being lost to sepsis.
