Rowan, MD, about the article, “Implementation of Continuous Capnography Is Associated with a Decreased Utilization of Blood Gases,” published in the Journal of Clinical Medicine Research. Dr. Rowan works as a Critical Care Intensivist in the Department of Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this article, Dr. Rowan and coauthors found that continuous capnography resulted in a significant savings over a 6-month period by decreasing the utilization of blood gas measurements.
