After studying the text and viewing the presentations online, attend a two-day hands-on session with critical care leaders and peers. This 8.75 hour in-person study group session is offered four times annually at various locations for your convenience.

The Quick Reference Guides are valuable resources that highlight some of the most useful bedside tools and algorithms available from SCCM - from Fundamentals training to Ultrasound and the Surviving Sepsis Campaign.
CE/ACE and MOC points are available. Physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and physician assistants are eligible to receive up to 43.75 credit hours (35 credit hours for the online course, 8.75 credit hours for the in-person study group).

This course is designed as a comprehensive review of the diagnosis, monitoring and management of the critically ill patient as well as preparation for the critical care subspecialty examination. This continuing education offering is intended to meet the needs of any healthcare provider involved in the care of critically ill patients, including advanced practice nurses, anesthesiologists, cardiologists, critical care fellows, critical care nurses, emergency medicine practitioners, intensivists, internists, neurologists, pharmacists, pulmonologists, respiratory care practitioners, and surgeons.
Physicians: Accreditation Statement: The Society of Critical Care Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Designation Statement: The Society of Critical Care Medicine designates this enduring educational activity for a maximum of 43.75 AMA PRA Category 1 credit™. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. Nurses: This activity has been approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider No. 8181, for up to 43.75 contact hours for this activity. Pharmacists: The Society of Critical Care Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This enduring educational activity provides up to 43.75 contact hours of continuing education credit. (0236-0000-21-129-H01-P) SCCM reports to a continuing pharmacy education (CPE) tracking service, CPE Monitor, which will authenticate and store data for completed CPE units received by pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. The tracking system will make CPE data for each participant available to the state boards of pharmacy where the participant is licensed or registered. After CPE units are processed by ACPE and NABP, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians will be able to log in to a comprehensive electronic profile to access information about their completed CPE.
Physician Assistants: AAPA accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. Physician Assistants may receive a maximum of 43.75 Category 1 credits for completing this activity.
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 43.75 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM), American Board of Anesthesia (ABA) and the American Board of Surgery’s (ABS) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit. ABS requires participants to self-report credit if audited.
The online course meets the requirements for maintenance of certification (MOC) for up to 43.75 credits.
